Was it a mistake to buy this beautiful low mileage 930 sight unseen at auction? Yes, probably. Even though it is now one of the finest and rarest examples of the last G series 930. When I picked it up from the auction, the turbo was stuck, the tyres felt like they were made of oak, and the car handled terribly. In short, it was not the pristine well-cared-for example I was led to believe, nor bidded highly for.

Just over £8k was spent getting this classic 911 Turbo back to up scratch and it now drives like new. That is to say - sensational!

There really us nothing like a 930, and this 1989 five-speed manual example is surely the best of the breed, and is now showing a little over 30,000 miles on the odometer. It forms the cornerstone of the Porsche section of the garage, and since I paid so much for it, it’s most likely a keeper.
