I drove a VTEC manual Prelude when they were new in 1994, and the memory stayed with me - perhaps unnaturally. It’s always been on my mind, mainly because of its gutsy revving engine, rear-wheel-steer-enhanced cornering, and jazzy Star Trek-esque digital dashboard.

And then one day, whilst browsing AutoTrader - there it was - the ideal spec car: metallic silver body colour (shows off the lines perfectly), manual gearbox, low miles (28k), and it was the desirable VTEC model. The car was being sold by a Honda collector and former dealer, and a deal was struck there and then.
Why do I have such an obscure, cheap car in the collection; sitting amongst Ferraris and Lamborghinis? Why not?

That’s what TheCarGuys are all about - a pure love of cars, regardless of value or profile. If we like it, for whatever reason, it’s in.
